Research groups of the Institute of Zoology team up with colleagues from UK and USA to study, how the animal‘s nervous system coordinates and controls the body

To support research in this area, the US National Science Foundation (NSF) together with federal funding agencies from Canada, UK and Germany (DFG) created the programme Next Generation Networks for Neuroscience (NeuroNex).

Four international consortia were approved for a funding period of five years. Each consortium will receive funding of up to 10 Mio. USD (9 Mio. Euros). The Cologne research groups of Büschges, Ito and Blanke (now U Bonn) are members of the C3NS project grant application.
