Research Interests
Evolution of visual systems, analysis of fossilised eyes as based on their preserved morphology, (simple and compound), their physical capacities, such as visual acuity, sensitivity, fields of view etc., and in some groups eye-reduction and blindness. The analysis, in particular of the internal sensory structures, and thus an attempt to understand the functions of these eyes, by means of x-ray tomography, synchrotron radiation etc., are the main topics of our present studies.
