About Me

I am an ecologist specializing in the study of spatial and temporal heterogeneity and pattern formation in ecological systems, with a focus on how complex dynamics - such as chaotic processes - shape biodiversity and ecosystem stability. My research combines population dynamics, mathematical modeling, AI-driven image analysis, and high-resolution tracking to study mechanisms of species coexistence across scales, from laboratory microcosms to deep-sea ecosystems.
Due to my mathematical background, I have additional expertise in programming, statistics, differential equations and theoretical ecology. Moving forward, I would like to further bridge the gap between theoretical models and real-world experiments by applying a mixture of models and experiments, thereby providing insights into the complexity of biological systems in applied experiments.
